Exploring the Drumbeam – a new MIDI Drum Controller

The Drumbeam serves as my main drumming interface, allowing the audience to engage with each other through rhythmic exploration. To enhance chords and melodic elements, I incorporate the Lumi Keyboard M from Roli.

The Lumi Keyboard M represents a remarkable fusion of portability and creativity. This compact keyboard MIDI controller allows you to fully express your musical ideas. It provides sensitivity, polyphonic pitch bend and aftertouch for each key.

The Synced Pitch Trigger Technique at Machina Bristonica

This innovative approach allows me to trigger MIDI note sequences directly from my drumming. This adds an unprecedented layer of dynamism and spontaneity to my playable sound installation. Ableton Live and a specially designed Max for Live device are running the music and music triggering. It is enabling the audience to seamlessly interact with other musicians and trigger notes in real-time. Those note pitches are staying in one harmonica concept.

The Synced Pitch Trigger technique to connect directly with other musicians. One can create a spontaneous interplay, breaking down traditional boundaries of live performance. This interactive method enables us to weave rich, evolving textures throughout the installation.
